This was so remarkably unexpected but deftly crafted; full of subtle shifts in power and expectation and focus throughout their interaction. I especially love that you allow David to be overwhelmed, awed, cowed, challenged, intrigued, endeared, and attracted to Louis all at once, with little bits of playfulness and earnestness thrown into the mix. It's wonderful to see David given more dimension than the usually stoic, dry, and somewhat lofty British stereotype often afforded him in this fandom.
